After training to be a naval officer, Axel Möhring (born in 1977; nationality: German) took part in multiple national and international military deployments. These were followed by a study of History, Social Sciences and Energy and Environmental Technology at the University of Hamburg.

In 2009 he joined the management team of a southern German software company where he became head of sales. Since 2020 he has been in charge of business operations as the Managing Director of energenta ersatzbrennstoffe gmbh at its home site of Ochtrup.
