2013 Post-doctoral qualification at Evropska Pravna Fakulteta, Nova Gorica, Slovenia, in the discipline of International Law.
2000 – 2009 Legal advisor in Kosovo: including at the United Nations, the German Agency for Technical Cooperation, the British Department for International Development and the German Federal Constitutional Court.
2005 – 2020 Professor and lecturer at a range of faculties in Kosovo and at Clemson University in the United States.
2010 – 2014 Legal advisor at Deloitte in Kosovo.
2014 – 2018 Legal advisor in Kosovo including at the European Union, the British Foreign Office and the United Nations agency for international development.
2017 – 2019 Legal advisor at the Swiss Cooperation Office in Kosovo.

For the last five years, Prof. Dr jur. Muharremi has been a member of an administrative, management or supervisory board and managing director of various German limited-liability companies (GmbH). He was appointed chairman of the Supervisory Board of energenta AG for a term of five years on 22 February 2022.
